This was the cutest little wedding ever- if I do say so. The ceremony and reception were held at Ski Esta, Newry, ME over looking the Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine. In this crazy beautiful chateau (wowing everyone), the mood was set. The bride did the centerpieces and most of the decor herself and then brought in the professional (moi) to complete the look.
I designed a semi arch of curly willow branches, droopy eucalyptus leaves, variegated Italian pit, royal blue hybrid delphinium, abundant white hydrangea and white dendrobium orchids- to finish the look we added hanging candles. It was lovely if I do say so myself.
The bride’s bouquet was so sweet and luxuriant- we included ivory roses, white peonies, white freesia, white ranunculus, ivory sweet peas finished with a touch of dusty miller. The handle was wrapped in raw silk ribbon with a fluffy bow at the top (I’m not generally a bow person but this worked!).
The maids carried lush bouquets of fluffy white peonies with the handles wrapped in navy grosgrain ribbon- simple and chic all the way.
This pictures were to pretty not to keep large. Details need to be seen.
PS The photographer was amazing! Check her link out below- psst she travels.

This wedding was very special to me, because I got to design not only a fellow designers wedding but she also happens to be one of my best friends.
Me and my husband, Danny, made a week long vacation out of this destination wedding. We got to see tons of sites on the way. We went to New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and technically Utah.
Being a designer Alana already had an idea of what she was looking for, and it was my job to make it happen. Her color scheme was White, Green and Brown. The arrangements were a gathered vase look, with assorted sized vases with single blooms in each vessel. The flowers we used were hydrangea, button mums, coxcomb, stock and tulips. The center of the table had a large piece designed with birch branches and hanging candles, we stuck the branches in hard foam and covered the foam with fresh green moss.
The reception took place at the Silver Pick Lodge about twenty five miles north of Durango Colorado. A gorgeous mountain lodge at 8776.66 feet, it’s located in the enormous San Juan National Forest, surrounded by mountains, cliffs and forest.

A round bouquet is beautiful and trendy style that we most often see brides with. However, let’s not forget about it’s vintage sidekick styles, Cascade & Teardrop. Although, over used in the past decades. I’m thinking it’s about time to take a fresh look at them. I think you will pleasantly surprised with the new twist on these traditional bouquet styles. Here are a few of my favorite looks…

So I was fishing around different blogs and found this picture. I LOVE this arrangement! It’s so unique and fun. A bit out of the “average bride’s” budget, but I can totally see using this as an accent piece somewhere at an event or wedding. It would make a great escort (place card) arrangement.
Have a look-see…

I love the nautical look. Navy and white are so crisp and chic. You can add basically any accent color to navy and white which makes it super versatile. Try adding red, orange, pink, teal or my fav accent color to navy and white - yellow!
Here is a little inspiration to help your ideas sail along…

Recently I was going over color combinations with a bride. She wanted a clean simple look while still keeping with the elegance of the reception space. One of the ideas we came up with is hot pink and red. Hot pink and red are super classic colors. I love the depth these colors provide and the monochromatic feel of using them together.
I love the green blooms added to the red and pink it really brightens up the look, great for a spring wedding.
